It is a valuable relic from the Zand period and is considered an excellent example of lime plastering and engraving. Besides the beauty of the building, you can also enjoy visiting the museum.
Vakil Mosque is a historical mosque dating back to the Zand period, also built by the order of Karim Khan Zand. This mosque is located west of Vakil Bazaar and at the end of the sword makers’ alley. The design of this mosque is two-eyvans with two south and east shabestans. With its authentic and Iranian architecture from the Zand period, this mosque has survived. Inscriptions written in three scripts of Nastaliq, Thuluth, and Naskh, along with delicate tilework with various designs and colors, have made this building a unique and fascinating mosque. The large shabestan of the mosque has a marble pulpit with fourteen steps and 48 carved stone columns, and its floor is entirely covered with marble stone. This mosque has been registered as a national heritage site in Iran.
