How to Obtain an Iranian Visa:
In general, the requirements and regulations for obtaining an Iranian visa vary for citizens of different countries and may change depending on diplomatic relations.
An Iranian visa is valid for three months, and travelers can stay in the country for up to 30 days. However, with the approval of the Foreign Nationals Affairs Office, this period can be extended to 60 to 90 days.
The process of obtaining a tourist visa for Iran usually takes 5 to 10 working days, while a business visa takes 5 to 10 working days, and a multi-entry visa takes about 25 working days.
Important Points Regarding Iranian Visas:
- Consulate Selection: Depending on your guest’s place of residence, you can select one of Iran’s consulates from the list provided and specify the guest’s place of visit when completing the forms.
- Obtaining Airport Visa: If your guest has limited time for obtaining a visa and can obtain an airport visa for Iran, it is recommended to choose one of Iran’s international airports as the place to obtain the visa.
- Type of Visa: Currently, Iranian visas are issued in paper form and are not affixed to passports as stickers.
- Additional Documents: After applying for a visa, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs may request additional documents from you. In this case, you will be notified.
- Visa Issuance Responsibility: Dalahoo Company is not responsible for issuing or not issuing Iranian visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Therefore, in case of non-issuance of visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the payment will not be refunded.
- Entry Conditions: After obtaining the visa, it is mandatory for foreign nationals to present a valid COVID-19 vaccination card and a negative PCR test upon entry into Iran.
Required Documents for Obtaining a Tourist Visa for Iran:
To obtain a tourist visa for Iran, you must have an Iranian citizen or registered company as your host. The following documents are required for obtaining a tourist visa for Iran:
- Color scan of the guest’s passport
- Color scan of a passport-sized photo (4*6)
- Scan of the host’s national ID card
- Completed form with details of the host and guest provided through Dalahoo
- Guest’s travel itinerary
How much does an Iranian visa cost?
The cost of an Iranian visa varies depending on the type of visa and the nationality of the applicant. Generally, the fee paid at international airports (such as Imam Khomeini Airport) is higher than at embassies or Iranian consulates. Below are the visa prices for several nationalities:
- European Countries:
- Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Romania, Austria, Cyprus, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Ireland:
- Embassy: 50 euros
- Airport: 75 euros

۳. Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Japan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan:
- Embassy: 40 euros
- Airport: Approximately 60 to 75 euros
- Chile, South Africa, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, Brazil:
- Visa Fee: Between 100 to 120 euros
For traveling to Iran, most countries require a visa, but citizens of some countries can enter Iran without a visa. Countries that are exempt from visa requirements include:

- Visa-free for 15 days:

The visa waiver law will only apply to travelers entering Iran from their own country. Otherwise, they must go to the consulate of the country they are in for entry into Iran.

Please note:
- Citizens of Afghanistan and Bangladesh:
- According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these individuals can only apply for an Iranian visa if they have a residency card or passport from a country other than their own. Otherwise, they must apply for a visa through the nearest Iranian consulate to their place of residence.
- Citizens of Pakistan:
- These individuals cannot obtain a visa at Iranian airports and must obtain a visa in advance.
- Citizens of the USA, UK, Ireland, and Canada:
- These individuals must travel to Iran in the form of a tour to obtain a tourist visa.
