Pir Sabz Chek Chek
“Pir Sabz Chek Chek” is one of the most important and sacred pilgrimage sites for Zoroastrians, and it is among the significant religious attractions of the country. The journey to this pilgrimage site begins from the city of Ardakan. Ardakan is a small city located in the desert region between the cities of Kashan and Yazd. Situated at the foothills of a rocky mountain, this pilgrimage site always has the sacred fire burning in the middle of the compound. Drops of water drip from the rocky ceiling onto the ground, and because it drips drop by drop from the rocky ceiling, this area is known as “Chek Chek.” This place holds immense reverence and respect for Zoroastrians, and its pilgrimage day falls on the 24th of the Khordad month.
