Razianeh Gorge

Razianeh Gorge is one of the national natural landmarks and geological phenomena in Ilam Province. This gorge is a narrow and deep valley located in a lush area with a flowing river. The main reason for the formation of this gorge is the occurrence of an earthquake and the fracturing of thick limestone layers, which has resulted in the creation of this deep fissure in the earth. Other factors have also played a significant role in shaping this gorge, including erosion, differences in elevation, the presence of steep slopes, and the topographical position and altitude of the land. All these factors combined have led to the formation of the beautiful Razianeh Gorge.
