Saadabad Palace

Saadabad Palace is one of the largest palaces in Tehran. It’s not surprising that Saadabad, like other palaces, is located in a pleasant climate area. The construction of this beautiful palace dates back to the Qajar era, but its primary use has been as a summer retreat. It was a place for the courtiers to reside during certain seasons of the year. However, during the Pahlavi era, it underwent significant renovations and expansions, becoming even more extensive than before. The gardens and grounds were so vast that during the Pahlavi era, 18 magnificent palaces were built around it. The beauty and vastness of the palaces and gardens surrounding this complex are remarkable. The architectural beauty and elegance of the palace complex, along with the presence of ancient trees like plane trees, which are hundreds of years old, enhance the beauty of this garden manifold. Located in the northernmost part of Tehran on a 300-hectare plot, its palaces were built over various years by prominent Iranian and foreign architects and craftsmen, combining traditional Iranian art with European architecture. One of the most beautiful parts of this complex was the Green Palace, whose beauty was stunning and extraordinary. This complex was built by Mirza Jafar Kashi over seven years, using green stones and marble. Ultimately, this complex is not only historically significant but also of great importance in terms of its vegetation coverage and beauty, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who visits.
