Takht-e Soleyman

Takht-e Soleyman is a global complex that encompasses enigmatic and mystical remnants from the birthplace of Zoroaster, introducing enthusiasts to five periods of human and Iranian civilization. This unique historical complex and its ancient artifacts are one of the most important and famous centers of history and civilization in Iran. The historical artifacts of this region, located in the western mountains of the country and in the pristine and pleasant climate of Takab, have been strategically significant in the past. The remains of this complex are situated on a rocky plateau 48 kilometers northeast of Takab, surrounded by a plethora of natural and man-made wonders such as lakes, hot springs, ancient graves, and other historical buildings. This complex includes historical structures built around a natural lake. Artefacts from the periods of the Arsacids, Sassanians, and Ilkhanids have been found here, and its most important remaining relics are the Zoroastrian fire temple and the halls from the Sassanian era. The Azargoshnasb fire temple is also located nearby, in Takab. The world’s most terrifying prison is situated in Takht-e Soleyman, each of the local prisons is designed for imprisoning humans, but Soleyman’s prison is the abode of horrifying demons.
