The Marble Throne Veranda tizgasht
The Marble Throne Veranda is the oldest structure in the Golestan Palace, dating back to the reign of Karim Khan Zand. It was a place where Qajar kings held ceremonies and greeted the people on special occasions. The tradition of such ceremonies can be traced back thousands of years in various historical periods of Iran. This mansion underwent significant changes during the Qajar period. When Agha Mohammad Khan conquered Shiraz in 1117 AH, he ordered the destruction of the Vakil Palace, and these artifacts were transferred to the Divan Khaneh in Tehran. The transferred artifacts include two marble columns and a one-piece marble slab from the mines of Shiraz, and two doors crafted by Master Mohammad Jafar Khattam from silver, ivory, camel bone, etc. They are engraved with verses from Saadi .and beautifully painted with oil colors and floral patterns.
