The Salam Hall
The Salam Hall, or Museum Room, or Coronation Hall, is located in the northwest corner of the Golestan Palace, which was originally built with the purpose of creating a museum. Naser al-Din Shah, inspired by the museums of Western countries, decided to build a similar museum in this royal complex. In this regard, the old buildings in this part of the garden were demolished, and rooms for the museum, a pool house, etc., were constructed. Thus, the first museum in Iran took shape in the Golestan Palace. Interestingly, the history of photography and museum establishment in Iran dates back to the Qajar period.
